What a great bookshop to find! Really good selection of books. My teenage daughter liked that her age books were separated out from the children's selection. Totally dog friendly, with a wonderful owner that adores dogs. Felt very welcome. Worth a visit

Lovely local shop trawled Exeter and Internet looking for a specific book wish I had gone there first. Gentleman knew exactly what I wanted and in stock. Result.

Wasn't impressed at all at this local bookshop on my visit yesterday. Far too much gossiping going on, slow and unattentive service, and much poorer range than another indie I visited at the weekend! I shall be going to nearby Exeter or Taunton in future for my books - the chains there have a much more energised vibe and focused customer service. Giving the shop 1 star only because of how beautiful the shops design is

This is a beautiful bookshop, with excellent stock, including lots of new releases and knowledgeable and helpful staff. It feels like a treasure trove!

Great bookshop. Always a really good selection and come away with more than I planned. Kids/teen selection also excellent. Always drop in when we're in Sidmouth.

We visit Sidmouth regularly to see family and we ALWAYS go to Winstone’s. Diverse selection of books (particularly good for History and children). Highly recommended

What immense customer service. We’re not local but had such a lovely experience in this shop thanks to both the staff and their knowledge and kindness. A great range of children’s books, with a lot of diversity for my daughter, and so much to interest myself and my mother. Will visit again!

A fantastic little book shop, well laid out inside, with neat shelves and a fabulous range of lovely books inside. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the selection available was interesting and bang up to date, with lots of choice.

A beautifully-run bookshop with very helpful staff who are happy for you to browse for ages. Very welcoming to children and a loyalty card scheme for children’s books. Great free coffee too!
