My order unfortunately broke in the post, so Chris from the Housewares Sidmouth team contacted me to let me know that they were restocking the item and would resend to me. The team was communicative and transparent through the whole process. It was a hard-to-find item as well, so I'm glad they were able to get it to me. The second parcel was received quickly and in perfect condition.

This shop is brilliant with a wide range of things to buy at very good quality and prices. However, when I went in this morning and was being served, the customer sales assistant next to the one serving me was being extremely rude and too harsh to the customer being served who was really upset. He was shouting at her, banging his first on the desk and then left saying, "You're the kind who shouldn't be served" or something along that line, hence rendering him extremely unprofessional.

Young maid served me i was buying carpet protector. They only had a meter left but she went to see her boss and between them they gave me an excellent service . It put me in a great mood for the rest of the afternoon. Thank you x

this place is great has a good selection and a good few things you don't find else where. Staff really helpful. And prices very compatible.

Horrendous experience! A lady staff member told me I was not allowed in without Mask. I pointed out that it was discriminatory to challenge me as I was clearly exempt. She looked towards a younger man who appeared to 'manage' the store and he was quite aggressive and confrontational towards me (an older white haired lady!) and he asked if I was exempt, to which I replied yes, but that to ask me was discriminatory and he walked towards me in a threatening manner and shouted 'out' pointing his finger to the door. Later I looked at previous reviews and found that a man had had a similar experience and he was even wearing a lanyard and various badges to highlight his exemption, but he was still shouted at and sent away. The owner replied to that one apologising and saying they would 'review' their approach. Well, if they did, they have obviously decided to behave the same OR WORSE! Do not shop at this shop. I live locally and will not be going here again, or my family. The staff need training, the manager needs training, shop somewhere else until that happens.

Customer service was horrendous today in store. I definitely will not be going back under any circumstances. Honestly, manners cost nothing. For some reason it won't let me reply to your response. My husband visited your store. He has a breathing disability and so is exempt from wearing a mask (as suggested by his GP). He wears an exemption lanyard and also several badges so people are aware and is always happy to explain. He walked in your store and a woman staff member shouted 'OUT. NO MASK'. My husband held up his exemption card but before he could say anything she shouted again 'tough get out'. It probably would have used less energy to ask him to politely return with a mask than it did to shout and humiliate him how she did. We will not be coming back again. Its judgmental and discriminatory to treat a person this way. Not all disabilities are visible and your staff members should take 2 minutes out of their time to consider this rather than making customers feel inadequate.

This shop is generally well stocked, but it has a captive audience. But be careful, I was given an item that was opened. I was assured by the shop assistant that they often came like that. One of the 7 items was missing (worth `~80p). The annoying think is that this is the second time I have been short changed at the shop. Being told to bring back the box, when one of the filters is already being used, shows a lack of customer care and makes me wonder if this a common happening. Check carefully what you buy.
