A fabulous guest house in the delightful town of Sidmouth. Highly recommended 👌

The Cheriton Guest House is located about 1 mile from the seafront and backs onto a lovely park. It offers good, reasonable, priced traditional bed and breakfast. Rooms are clean, spacious, and serviced on a daily basis. All rooms are ensuite, and free car parking is available. Breakfast was excellent, setting us up for the day, and the hotel provided a varied menu. Our room was one of two with a balcony, which is ideal on a sunny evening. The only slight issue we experienced was that our bed had what appeared to be a new mattress, which was beyond hard! Apart from that excellent value for money.

Really enjoyed my stay..Lovely welcome from Dawn and Martin. Very comfortable bed in my single room.. Breakfast couldn't be faulted either.10 minutes walk from the seafront.

We stayed in the double and twin rooms as a family of four to visit Sidmouth for Christmas. Clean and comfortable rooms and a smashing breakfast in the morning. Welcoming and friendly hosts and all within easy walking distance to the town centre. Thank you so much, a perfect pre Christmas break.

I stayed here for 4 days and found it very enjoyable. I had a single room which was clean and tidy and perfect for my needs.The location is excellent and a short walk to shops and beach. Good choice of breakfast which is cooked by Martin and served by Dawn who are the owners. The town is lovely and plenty of things to do. I would happily recommend this accommodation.

Had a 3 perfect night stay. Martin and Dawn are amazing hosts, they couldn't do enough for you.. lovely clean rooms and good in size. Small walk to high street and sea front. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it.. please ignore the 1 out 5 from 4 people with surname oflaz, I would say it's fake and it's a shame they felt the need to do it.. this really is a lovely guest house

Stayed for 2 nights 28-30th August. The hosts Dawn and Martin are very friendly . The town centre is a short stroll away.The breakfast is very tasty and plenty of it. Room was comfortable and very clean. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay there again.

This is a superb property just 15 minutes walk from Sidmouth sea front. The owners Martin & Dawn are a lovely couple, so welcoming and full of local knowledge. The room we stayed in was really comfortable and the facilities were great. We had a balcony which was lovely and peaceful to sit out on and overlooked the “Byes”. The Byes is a lovely natural parkland along the river Sid which also provides an easy walk into Sidmouth. The car parking was easy and secure. The food served at breakfast was plentiful and cooked to perfection and really set us up for the day. With Covid 19 restrictions still around the precautions and rules at Cheriton House were spot on but did not hinder our stay in any way. Sidmouth is a lovely place in itself and also a perfect base for exploring the nearby attractions. We highly recommend Cheriton House and will certainly be returning soon. Other recommendations would be; The Anchor Inn in Sidmouth, which serves beautiful food at reasonable prices and also the nearby village of Branscombe for a coffee and sea views. Our stay here really was the best and provided us with a lovely rest and recharged our batteries! Thank you both Martin & Dawn very much. Kevin & Jeanette xx

Very good, handy to town b&b. Owners are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were good and the room I had was comfortable and clean and had all I needed in terms of complementary tea/coffee/biscuits and the option to get fresh milk, which was nice.

We had a one night stay for a wedding this weekend and wish we could have stayed longer! What a lovely b&b with great friendly hosts. Our room was comfortable and clean. Cheriton house is in such a great location; being a little bit out of Sidmouth meant we had a nice walk to and from the town but with a much quieter location than the sea front. We will definitely be booking again!
